Hole in the Wall

Walls divide and separate, showing what is mine and not yours. Boundary markers are essential if you want a healthy view of yourself, not letting other people march in and grab anything of yours they wish to take. But too rigid a boundary and you isolate yourself because you don’t let others in, even a little. The life-long skill to be learnt is how to keep the balance right. The idea of healthy boundaries is something that has transformed my life in the last few years :).

I love this artistic rug, hand knotted in Nepal and made of Tibetan wool, the creation of Emilia and Ilya Kabakov.

I love the look-out hole and the view of a beautiful, freer world the other side. Maybe that gives us ideas about how to make life better – to make healthy connections with others and the world.

Life is better with art :).
