I read about the prompt sculpture Saturday, so here is my contribution! Antony Gormley’s 1983 Untitled (Diver) made from a cast of his own body. I love how the lighting throws shadows, multiplying the image. That itself evokes lots of ideas: none of us lives isolated and disconnected. We all ‘throw shadows’ or make ripples- to change the metaphor. We all influence and are influenced by others.
Happy sculpture Saturday!

Thanks for following my posts.
Saw an Anthony Gormley exhibition once in Winchester Great Hall. His sculptures of the human body were contrasted with the heavy seated statue of Queen Victoria that is in the hall. Even better- he was present and signed my programme leaflet.

I bumped into Ai Wei Wei too- in Melbourne at the NGV and he took a photo of me as he left in his taxi and put it on his Instagram that night. I thought I was in Art Heaven!
