My own sculpture

I made this! I had an amazing opportunity at the beginning of the summer to attend a sculpture course in Tout Quarry, Portland, Dorset. It was an incredible week, learning how to use tools to chip and chisel the Portland stone to become this shape. I absolutely loved the experience of it and the connection with the stone, and finding the form in the rock and, with the expert help of teachers Hannah and Paul, making the dolphin head appear, as if from the water – a sight I had witnessed at Poole Harbour.
